"Wild Law" Conference 2007: “Wild Law”- A Response to Climate Change 

UKELA in association with the Environmental Law Foundation and the Gaia Foundation 

The third annual Wild Law event took the form of a weekend workshop at Lea Green conference centre in Derbyshire. A group of about 45 environmental lawyers, regulators, decision-makers, environmental NGOs and students from around the world came together to consider the potential for Wild Law in the legal battle against climate change.

There were presentations from: Cormac Cullinan, the South African lawyer who wrote "Wild Law"; Andrew Kimbrell, an American public interest attorney; Peter Roderick, a barrister and Director of the Climate Justice Programme; and Brian Goodwin, a biologist and teacher of Holistic Science at Schumacher College. The event was facilitated by Elizabeth Rivers with a range of activities to explore a practical approach to move the Wild Law ideas forward.
